Celebrations
The Gathering may be young but has already built a solid reputation for magical celebrations, weddings, anniversaries, family and friends’ reunions. The location, comfort, attention to detail and our personal welcome are what bring people together in this stunning valley. We carry on a family tradition started by my great great grandfather in 1881.
We provide luxurious accommodation for up to 34 people and Edale village offers a wide mix of additional accommodation if you are planning a larger celebration. If you need catering or activities organised you are welcome to bring your own (no corkage is charged) or we can connect you to recommended local suppliers.
The shooting lodge is beautifully furnished with dining, catering, bar and lounge, comfortably entertaining up to 40. For larger gatherings we have our own marquee, tastefully designed to blend with the gritstone walls, which can be ‘bolted on’ to create a party space for up to 90.
In the meadows round the farm we have plenty of room for games and sports, including a less-than-smooth cricket wicket in the summer. The stream which runs through the camp runs off the Kinder plateau and is a children’s dream with waterfalls, rockpools and bilberry banks for when hunger bites.
