The Gathering at Edale is easily accessible to business both nationwide and internationally. Perfectly located in the heart of the Peak District.
Situated in the middle of the country, less than an hour from Manchester airport and with rail connections from London via Manchester or Sheffield in 3.5 hours. The Gathering has 18 bedrooms, ranging from ensuite shooting lodge and converted barn rooms to glamping tent safari lodges with plumbed in bathrooms. All have luxurious Hypnos mattresses and Egyptian linen to ensure a great nights sleep. We can accommodate up to 36 if all are shared.
We are as hands off or hands on as you wish us to be, with attractive prices for midweek retreats. We have good relationships with local caterers and outdoor activity organisers or equally you are welcome to bring your own.
By day: outdoors, open space, magnificent scenery on all sides. Roam as far as you wish, or call in the activity team to set up a climbing wall and team-building games right outside the tents or head up the valley to go canyoning, rock climbing, caving and orienteering. Plenty of indoor space for workshops and rainy days.
By night: two pubs just down the lane, fully equipped kitchen for cook-offs or caterers, magnificent gritstone hall, integrated music system for playlist plug-in with additional outdoor speakers and microphone, projector, fire cauldrons and barbecues for balmier nights. A village bistro provides wood-fired pizzas and menu with locally sourced produce and is only a short walk away.
