Perfect Peak District Holiday

The Shooting Lodge Holiday Lets

Built in 1881 the Shooting Lodge comprises two self-catering holiday properties: the Back Lodge and Keeper’s Flat.

The Shooting Lodge was built in 1881 to host parties in comfort and style. It continues to do so after a major refurbishment. The smaller wing of the Shooting Lodge has a self-contained apartment with two en-suite bedrooms and open plan living area, having a glazed wall with views up the mountain to the west. The larger wing of the Shooting Lodge has two further bedrooms which include a family room sleeping 4, and the minstrels’ room which can be super-king or twin as you require.

Dining is in the former pony stalls, with seating for 36 and a modern kitchen adjacent. A bar and a lounge also provide you with plenty of alternatives for all members of the family to find their comfort zone, and then come together for a dance, or a grand dinner.

The large hall in the lodge is wheelchair accessible. There is an integrated speaker system throughout with docking station for your own playlist, and immediate access to outdoor meadows for sports and games.

The focal point downstairs is the grand gritstone hall, with its 156 horse-shoe chandelier and minstrels’ gallery.
